The Story of S & H Seed Service

Kurt Schobert and Tim Harty started selling Pioneer^® seed in 2013. When they had the opportunity to start their own agency in 2019, they wanted to be a valued resource to growers in DeKalb, Kendall, and Grundy County.

That sentiment is the foundation of the agency that became known as S & H Seed Service. And it still drives everything they do.

“Knowing the products and placement is one of our top priorities,” explains Kurt. “That’s why growers come to us for timely advice and information on the area we serve.”

Farmers themselves, Kurt and Tim truly care about each operation and want to see each grower be successful.

S & H Seed Service also cares about their community. They regularly support local 4-H and FFA chapters, Kendall County and Grundy County Ag in the Classroom programs, J.F. Richards Land Lab at Joliet Junior College, National Cattlemen's Beef Association, The Sandwich Fair Association, Lisbon Organization of Parents (LOOP), and Newark Community High School volleyball team.
